Picante Taqueria was established in 2018, Benjamin and Jessica Morales are the founders of Picante across Tufts University which has become of the favorite place to eat for the students.
When Benjamin came to the United States in 1993, his first job was as a dishwasher in a restaurant located at Cambridge. Benjamin’s passion for Mexican food lifted him to become a prep and then a chef, creating a variety of recipes in which later on became very useful. Benjamin has ran restaurants in the Somerville area named Taco Loco and Tapatio with his brothers for many years leading the businesses to success. In 2017, Benjamin and his wife Jessica had the vision to create something practical with a taste of authentic Mexican food. They thought to create a happy and colorful environment. In 2023 they decided to expand their business in Union Square, Somerville.
